זאת חוקת התורה This is the law of the Torah. A chok is something we do not understand, nevertheless we are commanded to do.
This teaches us a very simple and fundamental idea:
“Through doing mitzvos simply, as a chok – without knowing and understanding why we do it, we merit to ultimately get the deepest understanding of why we do them.”

The reason for the mitzvos indeed touches on the very essence of humankind and purpose of creation. However since we are steeped in the physicality of this world we cannot attain the spiritual sensitivity to the reasoning of the mitzvos. It is only when we let go and just do the mitzvos without understanding, that we begin purifying ourselves.
This is the concept of a chok. In truth every word of HaShem should indeed be treated as a chok. Who are we with our minds to comprehend the knowledge of an infinite being?!
HaShem allows us more insight into His spiritual realm as soon as we disconnect from our physical barriers and attach to His spiritual plain.

The message “zot chukat Hatorah” – This is the law of the Torah, teaches us this concept.The Chidushei Harim teaches us that the only thing that we can actually say זאת ‘This’ on, is the kingdom of HaShem, nothing else has existence to be given the title ‘This’. Here we have therefore the basis of the entire understanding of Torah.The decree of Heaven is such, do it without trying to understand why, and you will be gifted with the deepest understanding.
