The Midrash (Shemos Rabbah 51:1) quotes the pasuk in Mishlei (28:20) “A dependable man (a man of emuna) will receive many blessings”. The Midrash is bothered by why the items in the Mishkan are all counted, we have a principle that blessing rests on something that is hidden from sight?
The answer (that the Midrash is alluding to) and is also brought in the Zohar, is that since that counting was done by Moshe therefore it nevertheless merited blessing.
The explanation (why the person who is counting it, would make a difference is as follows). The idea of a lot (for example in material possessions), is below (in this world). This is explained in the Sefer Hayashar (11th sha’ar), for the closer something comes to holiness, the less divided it becomes and the more one it becomes, (with the source). (Just as many branches branch off from one trunk).
It is therefore possible that through proper emuna, which means to draw everything to is source, the place of unity, then even if it is (in this world and place of physicality and) disunity, (yet since it is connected to the source), the light from above is nevertheless drawn into the number and the place of the many different parts.
This is really the entire idea of the Mishkan, as above, to draw the light above into one’s physical place and actions.
This is therefore also why the Mishkan was built on Rosh Chodesh Nisan, as above, “this month is for you”, this means that it was through Moshe who was the illuminating light, representing the idea of the “this month”. (See Vayakhel Pekudei Parshat hachodesh תרל”א 1. That the month is ‘given’ to Bnei Yisrael, meaning that through connecting this time properly to its source [the idea of Moshe – illuminating light], we are able to bring a sense of renewal and bring out the light that is hidden in the physicality).
