On the Pasuk (Vayikra 25:20) “And if you say: What will eat (during the shmita years), I will command my blessing and you will have food for 3 years”.
The Sefer Noam Elimelech says in the name of his brother, that it is due to the question (of “What will we eat”) that HaShem needs to command a blessing. See there.
The explanation is as follows: What sort of question is “What shall we eat?” Surely the One that gives life, will provide food?!
However this (is all true ony) when Bnei Yisrael exists in a miraculous fashion, however since not every generation is worthy of miracles, therefore they will say “What will we eat”.
The answer to this question is (“I will command my blessing”). That in the way of a blessing – ברכה which is partly natural (for it draws down the life force from above) (through that they will be able to survive).
However in truth Bnei Yisrael needs to know that there is no difference between nature and miracles, for they are both one. In truth there is no greater miracle than nature, which is the greatest wonder that is known to us.
Therefore when Bnei Yisrael have this clarity of emuna, there is no problem being sustained by a miracle (for it is the same as nature),
It is only when “You shall say what will we eat” (when we have lost that clarity of the miracle of nature) that “I will command my blessing” (and we are dependent on HaShem sustaining us as a “blessing”, which is partly natural).
The word נס – miracle, means to be uplifted. This means that the interaction (that HaShem has with us) becomes uplifted from the natural order, and is unique to Bnei Yisrael.
Similarly, the Maharal explains that just as in nature everything has a specific order, so too there is an order of miracles. This “miraculou order” is unique to Bnei Yisrael. As above.
(Pesach night is also called a seder – of miracles).
In truth the generations for whom miracles were performed, had a clarity of emuna, and nature and miracles were equal to them. Therefore HaShem interacted with them in a miraculous fashion, as above.
