Kedoshim תרל”ב
ב”ה קדושים. לא נכתב כסדר כי אינני זוכר כראוי
במד’ ישלח עזרך מקודש כו’ ומציון כו’ מקידוש מעשים וציון מעשים כו’.
The Midrash (Vayikra Rabbah 24:4) “You send Your help from Kodesh, and from Tzion Your support”(Tehillim 20:3). This means that it is from the holiness of our actions and of Tzion that all goodness and blessing come.
This is the meaning of the words “You shall be holy”, to emulate the holiness and separateness of HaShem.
כי איך יכול ב”ו להתקדש. רק להיות הרצון והשתוקקות לזה.
Now how is it possible for one of flesh and blood to be holy? It is only through the desire and longing for it (to become holy, that holiness s achieved).
וכן בכל מעשה להראות ולרמוז להפנימיות.
So too in every action, one must demonstrate and hint to the pnimius (the command of HaShem that is in each action)
וכן כל מצוה היא רק ציון ורמז כמ”ש הציבי לך ציונים. ועי”ז יכול לבא לקדושה.
So too each and every mitzvah is a ציון – a sign (to the pnimius that is contained in it). As it states (Yirmiya 31:2) “Set up markers for yourself”. It is through this (longing to connect to force of HaShem) that enables us to attain holiness.
מקודש. התורה. וציון הם מצות.
“Holiness” refers to the Torah and “Tzion” (sign) refers to the mitzvos
כי המצות כלולין בתורה. ובכל מצוה אף שהוא במעשה גשמיות בחי’ ציון כנ”ל. מ”מ הציווי הוא מהקב”ה בתורה.
For the mitzvos are contained in the Torah, and therefore each and every mitzvah, even though it is a physical action, the idea of a “sign”, nevertheless the command of the mitzvah is from the Torah.
ולכך ע”י ציון המצוה יכול להתדבק בהקדושה שבה והיא התורה.
Therefore through the mitzvah, one is able to connect to the holiness that is contained in it, ie the Torah.
ומצות הם באמת עצות איך להמשיך קדושתו ית’ לכל המעשים כנ”ל.
Now the mitzvos are really means how to draw the holiness of HaShem into all of one’s actions. As above.
וכן בש”ק כתי’ ויקדש כו’ שממשיך קדושה לכל מעשה בראשית.
So too on Shabbos there is also this idea of holiness as it states “and He sanctified it”, which means that it draws holiness to the entire creation of Bereishis.

[By way of a hint, “Your help from Kodesh”, can be referring to making Kiddush on Shabbos, “and from Tzion you support” can be referring to the meal on Shabbos. And understand this]
במד’ וכי תבואו כו’ ונטעתם כו’ עץ חיים היא כו’.
The Midrash (Vayikra Rabbah 25:1) “And when you will come to the land and plant fruit trees…The Torah is the tree of life…”
כי חיי עולם נטע הוא תורה שבע”פ המשכת כח התורה במעשה.
The words “and and everlasting life He planted within us” is referring to the oral Torah (“And He gave us a Torah of truth” refers to the written Torah”). This (oral Torah) is the idea of drawing the power of Torah into all of one’s actions.
וז”ש יפה ת”ת עם ד”א שיגיעת שניהם כו’.
This is the idea of “Torah with the way of the world is good. For toiling in both causes one to forget about sinning” (Avot 2:2)
שזה יותר יגיעה מתורה. כמ”ש בזוה”ק תרומה דקיימא בעובדא לא בא רק בטורח גדול וטהרה יתירה ע”ש.
For this (application of Torah into one’s daily life) requires more effort than Torah. As it states in Zohar (Terumah 2:128a) To work properly only comes with a lot of effort and much purification.
והוא היגיעה לחבר שניהם מעשה גשמי עם הקדושה שהיא חיות הפנימיות.
This is the effort, to combine (both Torah with derech eretz), the physical action together with the holiness, which is its inner life force.
שבכ”ד יש חיות מהתורה כמ”ש באורייתא ברא קוב”ה עלמא.
For everything contains in it, a life force of the Torah, as it states “with the Torah, HaShem created the world” (Zohar introduction 1:5)
וכן שמעתי מאא”ז מו”ר ז”ל על שהי’ קשה לישראל לכנוס לא”י שהי’ עבודה רבה כנ”ל ע”ש.
Similarly, the Chidushei Harim explained that it was difficult for Bnei Yisrael to enter Eretz Yisrael for it require great effort, as explained above,
שבמדבר הי’ רק תורה ובא”י הי’ יגיעת שניהם כנ”ל בחי’ תורה שבע”פ:
For in the wilderness there was only Torah, yet in Eretz Yisrael, there was the requirement of “toiling in them both”, as above, the idea of the oral Torah.
