Masei תרל”ט

בפסוק זאת הארץ אשר תפול לכם בנחלה כו’ ובמד’ שהראה הקב”ה למרע”ה דור ודורשיו כו’.
(Bamidbar 34:2) This is the land that falls to you as an inheritance. The Midrash (Bamidbar Rabbah 23:5) tell us that HaShem showed Moshe each and every generation to come, the leaders, judges, the righteous and the sinners.
כי בודאי הכנענים לא ראו מעולם בחי’ ארץ ישראל.
ואכן ע”י הכנת בני ישראל בכניסתם לשם אז ירד משמים בחי’ ארץ ישראל לא”י הגשמיי
Now it is clear that the Cananites never saw the idea of “Eretz Yisrael” (the spiritual element of it). And indeed it was the preparation of Bnei Yisrael when entering the land, that brought down the spiritual concept of “Eretz Yisrael” to the physical land.
כמ”ש ז”ל ביהמ”ק שלמטה מכוון כו’ וכמו כן א”י וירושלים.
This is as our sages taught us, tha the Beis Hamikdash Above, is directed…(over the Beis Hamikdash below. Meaning that each place has its own spiritual element). Similarly Eretz Yisrael and yerushalayim (also have a spiritual element that can be hidden).
וזאת הארץ הפנימית הראה הקב”ה למרע”ה כי בנ”י הם גבולים שיוכל להתפשט הקדושה בתוכן.
“This is the land”, therefore refers to the internal (spiritual energy of the land) which is what HaShem showed Moshe. For Bnei Yisrael are the “borders” within which the holiness can spread.
ולכן ע”י כניסת הי”ב שבטים לגבולותיהם אז תפול הארץ בנחלה.
It is therefore through the 12 tribes entering the borders, that “the land shall fall as an inheritance”. (By entering the land we enabeld this holiness to spread throughout the land).
לכן צוה השי”ת שלא יניחו מהכנענים. כי הארץ העליונה לא תוכל לסבול אותם כנ”ל.
Therefore HaShem commanded that none of the Canaanites should be allowed to remain, for the upper (spiritual element) of the land, cannot withstand the (impurity of the) Canaanites. As above.
וכן נוהג בכל איש פרטי ג”כ כפי הכנת התורה בלב ונפש אז הש”י משרה בו הקדושה כמ”ש חז”ל קדוש שרוי בתוך מעיו:
So too in each one of Bnei Yisrael on an individual level, inasmuch as one has prepared the torah in one’s heart and soul, proportionately HaShem brings about holiness. As our sages have taught that one should always feel as if there is holiness within his body.
