Metzora
The Midrash (Vayikra Rabbah 16:4) says that the word metzora – (one inflicted with tzara’as) is connected to the words motzi ra one who took out evil.
This is because the fact that HaShem gave us an evil inclination as well (as a good inclination) is not something that opposes the service of HaShem, as the mishna (Brachos 9:5) states one is commanded to serve HaShem with both inclinations.
It is only one who ‘takes it out of its place’ (ie he abuses it, and instead of controlling it, he follows it. Then one is criticized for being a motzi ra).
Perhaps this is why the purification process the Torah delineates for a metzora is 2 pure birds. For they both hint to both the inclinations that we have, and as they are in their original state they are both pure. As we say (Shacharis brachos), the neshama that you have given me is pure.
Therefore there is enough purity in man, one just needs to be careful not to take anything out of its source (and abuse the evil inclination).
