The Chidushei Harim said on the pasuk (Devarim 11:26) “See I give to you today the blessing and the curse.”
That established deep into each Jew is the ability to choose only the blessing! (That it is possible not to be influenced by the pull of the physical world)
And this is what we intend when we make the blessing in the morning who gives understanding to the rooster . (That the difference between good and evil is apparent)
And the Midrash says that HaShem teaches us in this pasuk that one is commanded: “And you shall choose life”
And anything that HaShem says actually becomes a reality, and therefore from this very verse one can draw the strength to only choose good, choose life!
