The Chidushei Harim said in the name of the Rebbe of Lublin
When Yaakov said ‘I have become humble (small) from all the goodness that HaShem has done for me’, he was saying that even the feeling of humility was also a kindness that HaShem bestowed upon him.
and we can explain further that it was through the kindness that HaShem bestowed upon him, that he realised his humility, for the greater the kindness a person receives the greater his humility. (Because he realises more and more that it is not due to his own merit that he received the kindness. If it was a small kindness, then maybe one could claim that it was due to his effort, but the greater the kindness the less one can attribute it to his own merits.) (The trick is to not take credit for the small things too)
