Miketz
You formed Your world from the beginning.
The Sefat Emet teaches that creation originates from a primordial, inner divine point preceding all manifestation.
For the aspect of “form” is the inwardness, and it is from the beginning, where there is always renewal, like the idea of “turning eastward.”
The inner spiritual form of reality continually renews itself, just as “east” symbolizes the primordial source of renewed divine flow.
And as written in the Zohar: “He forms the spirit of man within him,” which is an aspect of wonder.
The divine formation of the human spirit is described as a miraculous, wondrous act—an inner crafting beyond human comprehension.
And as the Rema writes in Orach Chaim 6, the phrase “Who acts wondrously” means that the aspect of wonder is within the act itself.
The Rema explains that divine wonder is not separate from physical creation but embedded within every act of formation.
The Sefat Emet teaches that creation stems from an inner, primordial source that is constantly renewed. This inner dimension, described as “form,” is connected to the divine wonder present within all acts of creation, as expressed in both Zohar and halachic teachings.
