Lech Lecha תרל”ב 3

רמב”ן הקשה שנאמר לך לך בלי שנזכר מקודם חיבתו.
The Ramban asks why the commandment of Lech Lecha was said without first telling us what Avarahams greatness was
ובזוה”ק נראה כי זה עצמו השבח ששמע זה המאמר לך לך
From the Zohar it seems that that was exactly what Avraham’s praise was. That he heard the commandment of Lech Lecha
שנאמר מהשי”ת לכל האנשים תמיד
For this commandment of Lech Lecha is said to every person always
כמ”ש וי לאינון דשינתא בחוריהון
As it says woe to those that are sleeping in their holes
ואאע”ה שמע וקיבל.
However Avraham Avinu heard his calling and accepted it
וממילא נקרא רק הדיבור אליו כי הלא לא נמצא מיוחד לשמוע.
And therefore the commandment was called out only to him, for no one else was there to hear it
רק הוא אבל בודאי זה השבח בעצמו שהי’ מוכן לקבל המאמר
Aside from Avraham, and therefore that is in itself Avrahams’ praise that he was prepared to hear the commandment of HaShem.
