Parshat Va’eira Essay

Begining of Parsha doesnt contain the name of the parsha, it’s unusual.
Vayedaber Elokim el Moshe vayomer eilav ani HaShem.
This is actually the answer to the end of parshat Shmot. Moshe asked HaShem Lama hareota, why is it so bad why are you doing this to Bnei Yisrael. The answer is in the first pasuk,
First Vayedaber: A directive
Elokim: This is the terminology for the way HaShem connects to this world. Being as the creation of the world necessitates covering up His presence to create something physical and an ability for man to choose, He made something called Tzimtzum and essentially limited Himself. However in essence we always need to know that it is HaShem havaya, just the manifestation of Him in this world is Elokim, therefore we have different tenses Elokeinu, Elokeichem, etc, however the shem Havaya never changes.
This is therefore the answer, you Moshe are looking at lama hareota, you are looking at the channel of the shem Elokim, however you need to know in essence it is Ani HaShem (Yud Heh…).

The explanation further being according to R’ Hirsh: The only way HaShem could make a nation that would be truly loyal to him and not get lost like all other nations, is if they are created not in good easy times, for he could’ve given Avraham children at a young age and established the nation in Eretz Canaan, but that would essentially be like the creation of all nations, but this is not what HaShem wanted, because all nations just float away and get lost they are not created to endure but are created but the goodness of the times.
With the Jewish nation however there was a different creation, where HaShem pulled us out from death, and acquired us like that. He had to pull us out of absolute clutches of death of the Egyptians, and the lowest possible level of Tuma’ah we could experience and from that create us. This is what gives us the fortitude to continue growing and come up with a constant survival against all odds.
