Vayelech

ב”ה

The Chidushei harim explained the pasuk (Devarim 31:28) “…and I will make the heavens and earth bear witness against them”
This is because Bnei Yisrael clarify and rejoice in the pnimius of creation, for they testify that everything is only the power of HaShem.
This is the concept of Shabbos, which is called a testimony (to HaShem creating the world). [And so too when a person says “vayechulu” on Friday night he becomes a partner in creation of the world (for he clarifies that everything is HaShem)].
The truth is that inasmuch as a person realises this (that there is nothing but the power of HaShem), then there indeed is nothing hidden. For the source of the souls of Bnei Yisrael are above nature, and therefore nature is not actually able to really cover up this fact.
This is therefore the meaning of (Devarim 29:9) “You are standing here today before Hashem your G-d”. This means literally standing before HaShem. For the source of our souls through which all our life force is drawn, is right in front of haShem (in a place where there is no cover). Bnei Yisrael are the first step (through which everything comes down).
This is the meaning of Rashi (Devarim 29:12) that HaShem told them the parsha of Nitzvam after the curses. For when Bnei Yisrael heard the curses their faces turned pale, (they were horrified). HaShem consoled them and told them you are standing here today (Nitzavim), that even though you have angered me, I still have not destroyed you, and just as the day becomes dark and then eventually light so too HaShem will light up for us. This can all be understood as explained above. That Bnei Yisrael are the very first step through which the light comes to this world, and therefore they have the power to change everything (and completely reveal the truth that HaShem is the only power).
The Midrash (Devarim Rabbah 8:1) (If a person missed Musaf and it’s now time to pray Mincha, he should first pray Mincha and then Musaf for) “everything is created in it’s time”
The meaning of the words “its time” is the beginning of when the life force starts spreading out from HaShem and comes into the realm of time (this is the first strep and place where Bnei Yisrael are)
As the Zohar explains “And he (Aharon) shall not enter at any time ino the kodesh (See Zohar 3:58a)
This is the concept of of standing in prayer, just as the Torah states “Atem nitzavim” You are standing today before HaShem”, when one is able to acknowledge and humble himself so that the name of HaShem will rest upon him, and to be completely nullified to HaShem. It is through placing oneself as a part of Klal Yisrael who are constantly (in their source) standing before HaShem.
