אא"ז מו"ר ז"ל פי' ברכת יוסף הצדיק ברכות אביך גברו כו'.
“My master and ancestor explained the blessing of Joseph the Righteous: ‘The blessings of your father have prevailed…’”
He interprets that Joseph’s blessing refers to the level of Shabbat.
זה בחי' שבת שכ' ז"ל המענג את השבת נותנין לו נחלה בלי מצרים כו'.
“This is the aspect of Shabbat, as our sages said: One who delights in Shabbat is given a boundless inheritance.”
The Sefat Emet explains that Shabbat opens access to a blessing without limits.
והפי' ע"י שיודע כי חיות הכל מהש"י שיש נקודה פנימיות בכל דבר ממנו ית'.
“And the explanation is that this comes through knowing that the life of all things is from God, for there is an inner point in everything from Him.”
The limitless blessing comes through recognizing that every created thing contains a divine inner spark.
וכפי ידיעת זאת הנקודה כך נתברך ונדבק הכל בשורש החיים.
“And according to one’s awareness of this inner point, so is one blessed, and all becomes attached to the root of life.”
The more one perceives the inner divine vitality, the more everything connects back to its ultimate source.
וממילא לא שייך מיצר וסוף לזה כי הנקודה חיות מהש"י אין לה סוף כי מא"ס היא.
“Therefore constriction and limit do not apply, for this point of divine life has no end, for it is from the Infinite.”
Since the inner spark comes from the Infinite, it cannot be confined by boundaries.
אך פי' המענג את השבת הוא שכל תענוגיו הם רק לזאת הנקודה הפנימיות שנק' שבת באמת שהוא מנוחת הכל.
“But the explanation of one who delights in Shabbat is that all his pleasures are directed only to this inner point, which is truly called Shabbat, for it is the rest of all things.”
True delight of Shabbat means directing joy toward the inner divine essence, the source of rest.
ולאשר יודע שהוא העיקר נתברך בזה.
“And one who knows that this is the essence is blessed through it.”
Recognizing the primacy of the inner divine point brings blessing.
ונק' תאות גבעות עולם שכל הנבראים מתאוין לידבק בזאת הנקודה כי היא מחי' כולם.
“And this is called ‘the desire of the everlasting hills,’ for all created beings yearn to cling to this point, for it gives life to all of them.”
All existence longs to connect to this sustaining divine spark.
ואא"ז מו"ר ז"ל פי' ויחי יעקב בא"מ שע"י בחי' אמת כמ"ש תתן אמת ליעקב יכולין להתקיים גם בא"מ.
“And my master explained ‘And Jacob lived in Egypt’ to mean that through the attribute of truth—‘You will give truth to Jacob’—one can endure even in Egypt.”
Jacob’s connection to truth enables spiritual life even in constricting places.
והוא ידיעה הנ"ל שהכל חיות הנקודה הפנימיות וזה אמת.
“And this is the above‑mentioned knowledge, that the life of all things is the inner point, and this is truth.”
Truth means recognizing that all vitality comes from the inner divine spark.
כי שקר אין לו רגלים.
“For falsehood has no legs.”
Falsehood cannot stand; it has no enduring reality.
ואמת מקיים העולם כנ"ל.
“And truth sustains the world, as stated.”
Truth aligns with the divine source and therefore upholds existence.
וכשדביקין באמת כנ"ל לא יש מיצר כי כולם מושכין חיות מזה.
“And when one cleaves to this truth, there is no constriction, for all draw life from it.”
Attachment to the inner truth removes all limitation, since it is the wellspring of all life.
The passage teaches that Shabbat, blessing, and truth all center on perceiving the inner divine spark that vitalizes all things. Awareness of this point removes limitation and enables connection even in constricted environments.
