Inner Divine Essence

In the Zohar it explains “And this is what He spoke to them.”
The Sefat Emet cites the Zohar, which reads the verse as indicating a transmission of a specific spiritual quality.
For He implanted within them the aspect of “This” (Zot).
“Zot” represents a clear, revealed point of holiness embedded in the people.
For separation is called “Eleh” (These).
“Eleh” symbolizes fragmentation and disunity, in contrast to the unifying force of “Zot.”
And the aspect of holiness—
The Sefat Emet marks a transition: holiness has its own distinct designation.
מ"ש.
—as is known.
A shorthand affirmation that this teaching is established in earlier sources.
The divine vitality of the Holy One is called “Zot.”
“Zot” is the channel through which divine life-force becomes manifest in the world.
And “spoke” implies “one word for a generation.”
This indicates a unifying instruction meant to bind the entire generation to a single spiritual focus.
He taught them to conduct all their deeds according to the aspect of “Zot,” so that everything would follow the inner point, as noted above.
The goal is that all actions stem from and align with the inner spiritual core rather than external fragmentation.
[And this is the meaning of “All these…” and “And this…”]
The contrast between “Eleh” and “Zot” in Torah verses encodes the dynamic between separation and unity.
And understand.
A cue that the reader should contemplate the depth and implications of this teaching.
Summary: The Sefat Emet, following the Zohar, explains the contrast between “Eleh” (separation) and “Zot” (holy unity). God implants within Israel the aspect of “Zot,” a point of divine vitality that guides all actions toward inner unity.
