Bakol: the inner point of all-encompassing blessing
And it is written: "And Avraham was old," etc., "and Hashem had blessed Avraham with everything (bakol)" (Bereishis 24:1).
The Sefas Emes takes up the verse describing Avraham in his old age, blessed by Hashem "with everything."
And in the Midrash: all were blessed through Avraham, and who blessed him? The Holy One, blessed be He, etc.
The Midrash teaches that Avraham was the channel of blessing for everyone, while Avraham himself received his blessing directly from Hashem.
For the meaning of "with everything (bakol)" is that very nekudah (inner point) which encompasses all, of which it is written: "And God saw everything that He had made," etc. (Bereishis 1:31).
"Bakol" refers to a single inner point that contains within it the whole of creation — the same "all" that Hashem beheld when He saw that everything He had made was good.
And this is the vessel that holds blessing, which is called shalom (peace), which encompasses all — and this is the blessing of the Avos: "bakol, mikol, kol" (with everything, from everything, everything).
Shalom is the vessel capable of containing blessing, since it unifies and includes everything; the three Avos each received a form of this all-encompassing blessing, expressed in the words bakol, mikol, kol.
And these three correspond to the three seudos (meals) of the holy Shabbos, which is called shalom, and of which it is written: "And He blessed... the seventh day" (Bereishis 2:3).
The threefold blessing of the Avos parallels the three Shabbos meals; Shabbos itself is called shalom and is the day Hashem blessed, making it the vessel of blessing in time.
And it is the wellspring from which the life-force and blessing flow to all of creation.
This inner point of shalom — embodied in Avraham, in the Avos, and in Shabbos — is the source from which vitality and blessing are drawn down into the entire world.
Summary: The blessing of "bakol" given to Avraham is the inner point that encompasses all of creation — the vessel of shalom that holds blessing. This same all-inclusive blessing is found in the three Avos and in the three meals of Shabbos, the wellspring from which life and blessing flow to the whole world.
